They already sport pink bridles and blankets - but now these Blackpool donkeys are even eating from pink hay bales.

Owners Suzzana and Marlen Edge raised £200 for Breast Cancer Awareness by buying the special pink wrappings to store the donkeys’ hay at their farm in Harbour Lane, Salwick.

Suzzana said: “We always make sure our donkeys are in pink so when I heard you could buy pink hay bale wrappings, I had to get some.

“They look a lot nicer than the usual black ones, and it’s amazing the amount of people who have stopped to look at them.”

Suzzana and Marlen’s family operated stable are past winners in the Working Donkey Awards which were run by the Donkey Sanctuary.

The donkeys work on Blackpool beach throughout the summer.
