BAE Warton Rugby Union FC has invested in brand-new training kits, thanks to a donation of more than £800 from property developer Taylor Wimpey.
The club, which is based on Bank Lane, has moved up the ranks rapidly having been promoted three times in three seasons.
Ben Taylor, player coach at BAE Warton RUFC, said: “Our brand-new training kits are fantastic and will be a huge help to the club – especially during the winter months when durability and warmth are imperative.
“The kits look great and as we can wear them for the gym and to travel to games in, they will help to get our name out there to potential new recruits.”
BAE Warton RUFC currently features one adult team and plays in the Raging Bull North West League.
Sue Irving, sales manager at Taylor Wimpey North Wes, said: “With our Meadows View development now taking shape in Warton, we’re thrilled to be supporting such a great local organisation like BAE Warton RUFC.
“It’s clear the club has quite a number of talented players and we’re glad our donation has been a huge help.”
Taylor Wimpey’s Meadows View is based on Harbour Lane in Warton.
Ben added: “I would like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey – we would never have been able to afford the kits without them.”
