The Marine Hall in Fleetwood will be open from 11am until 3pm from Thursday to Sunday.

And the historic, grade II listed Marsh Mill in Thornton (pictured) will be open on Saturday and Sunday between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

Coun Lynne Bowen, Leisure and Culture Portfolio Holder at Wyre Council, said: “We’re inviting people to experience local history, architecture and culture, all for free as part of this national heritage festival.

“We’re opening up a variety of buildings, leading tours of towns and villages and offering the chance to learn about the history of these places from the people who know them best - our knowledgeable and dedicated volunteers, friends groups, rangers and local historians.
