David Roskell, who lives in Sydney, migrated in 1972 following a stint in the Army and last visited the resort in 1995.
The 71-year-old is hoping to reunite with three friends he went to Palatine Secondary Technical School with, now South Shore Academy.

Hide AdDavid who declares himself “a proud sandgrown’un”, wants to meet Glyn Stone, Trevor Andrews and Lawrie (Loz) Ryan.
He went to classes from 1959 to 1961 before it became a secondary modern and he was transferred to Blackpool Grammar. David said he wants to catch up with them as they made his childhood “memorable”.
He said: “I hated it when I was moved to Palatine because I didn’t fit in properly really. Everyone there liked rugby and I loved football.
“But I really clicked with the guys at Palatine and wish I could see them again. I’ve tried to track them down on things such as Facebook but I haven’t had any luck.”

Hide AdBorn in Layton the oldest of eight siblings, David is making a two-month visit to the Fylde coast at the end of this month, and will be joined by his daughter Naomi, son-in-law Mark and his grandson Zac.
His 63-year-old brother Graham and sister-in-law Cathy will also be making the trip from Oz.
The rest of his family left Blackpool in 1968 to go Down Under and David followed suit four years later after leaving the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
The extended holiday is to mark 50 years since the Roskell family emigrated.
