A man grabbed his pregnant girlfriend and spat at her during an argument, magistrates were told.
Darren Emery, 34, of Bardsway Avenue, Layton, pleaded guilty to assaulting his partner.
He was bailed for pre- sentence reports and will be sentenced at a later date by Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
Philip Hall, prosecuting, said the incident happened on June 6.
He told the court Emery came home after drinking and the couple then argued.
He grabbed his girlfriend’s wrist and spat at her. He then threatened to take the car and burn it.
Mr Hall added: “His partner says everything is good in their relationship until he has had a drink.
“She seeks help for his problem with alcohol and does not want a restraining order.”
Steven Townley, defending, said that after the incident Emery had gone round and made it up with his partner.
