His latest album Back Home Again, was released in March 2017, and entered the UK albums chart at number 10.

The Irish singing sensation - famed for his clean-cut image and softly spoken manners - has reached the albums chart with more than 37 albums. He has also achieved eight number one hits in the UK music video/DVD charts over that period.

He received an honorary MBE from Queen Elizabeth, appeared on Top of the Pops and had his life celebrated on ‘This Is Your Life’.

Daniel was a contestant in the 2015 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

“It’s such a huge show, and while it took me out of my comfort zone, I had a lot of fun doing it,” he said.

A spokesman said: “He completed major tours in the USA, Australia, Canada and his native Ireland during the past few months and audiences were blown away by his new show, with a new band, featuring a mix of the best in Trad, Country, Easy Listening and some Rock ‘n’ Roll.

“His concert in Blackpool’s Opera House on Wednesday should be a most memorable one.”

Over the years, he’s been known for his close relationship with fans and holding meet and greet sessions regularly at his concerts.
