“We’ve been doing Acro for years but decided to join the Acrobatics Arts in September so the children could work towards exams.

“The company is based in America and the examiner flew in to examine the children.

“They were very exited and we are very proud of them to have learnt the syllabus so quickly!

“We had 40 children doing the exams aged six to 14.

“All the children got excellent results in these exams and should be very proud.”

The Dance Place which is on Rawcliffe Street, Blackpool, has taught dancers who have gone on to have huge success.

It was founded by Ian and his late wife Gail Wray.

The school offers classes in a variety of dance from tap dancing to acrobatics, ballet to street dancing as well as singing.

The pupils often perform at events around Blackpool and like to perform for charities and have a great long lasting friendship with the Macmillian Cancer Fund.

At the very heart of the Dance Place is Gail Wray’s wish: ‘A wish for every child to find the best within themselves, no matter what their talent, no matter what their circumstance, The Dance Place is a family, where children belong, follow their dreams, have fun and make new friends along the way.’.
