Dancers miss out on final

They wowed the judges with their show-stopping line dance routine, but it wasn’t enough to secure CountryVive a place in the Britain’s Got Talent final.

The company boasts dancers from around the country, but is led by Blackpool dancer Sam Robins and his partners Nicola Lafferty and Craig Bennett.

CountryVive was named as one of the acts to make it through to the live semi-finals of the ITV talent show, and was one of the first to perform last night.

Sadly, as just two of the acts made it through to the finals of the show, CountryVive did not receive enough votes to progress.

Musical theatre boy band Collabro and magician Darcy Oake will be back to battle it out in Saturday’s final.

CountryVive looked to be getting off to a shaky start during their audition earlier this year, as their two-man entrance to the performance left judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams less than impressed.

But before any of the judges reached for their red buttons, a whole troupe of line-dancing performers took to the stage and had the crowd clapping along with the beat.

The troupe is made up of members of the World Dance Masters Elite Show Team – a group of line dance judges, instructors and World Dance Masters Allstar competitors who get together once a year to perform at the World Dance Masters Championships at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.

Their Britain’s Got Talent audition got the judges up on their feet dancing and was rewarded by four yeses and a standing ovation.

The troupe, which is looking to make country dance contemporary and current, is made up of 19 members from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
