'˜You've dropped your keys' - Police send message to kids causing mayhem at building site
Are these your keys? If so, the police would like a word!
Officers said youngsters have been climbing their way onto a building site in St Andrew’s Road North, St Annes, once workers have left for the day, to smoke cannabis and lob building materials onto the nearby traintrack.
And one of them dropped these keys (pictured), which are now being held at St Annes Police Station, the force said.
“They clearly enjoy the thrill and think it is big and clever,” a spokesman said.
“But of course the emergency services would have to pick up the pieces if it goes wrong.
“We thought you must surely be cold out on the streets with no keys to your home address so come on if these are your keys.”
And in a warning to parents, the force posted on social media site Facebook: “So please advise your children accordingly regarding this, especially during the summer holidays, and to avoid playing inside or near building sites and abandoned buildings.
