Yob armed with hammer goes on dawn wrecking spree

A yob smashed six bus shelter windows at the coach station off Central Drive '“ and just yards away from the Bonny Street police station '“ earlier this morning.

The damage was caused by a man carrying a hammer at around 4.45am, said the person who called police.

Council workers carrying sweeping brushes were spotted clearing up piles of shattered glass shortly before 8am.
