Wyre Council vehicles targeted during tyre slashing incident in Poulton

Three ‘Street Scene’ vehicles, and a ‘Care and Repair’ van, inset, were targeted outside council offices on Breck Road.

The vehicles were off the road for three hours after being reported and replacement tyres cost the council £376 to repair.

A council spokesman said: “The Care and Repair service is an essential service and this act of vandalism had the potential to affect some of the most vulnerable in our community. Luckily, we were able to repair the vehicles within three hours of receiving the report, so no residents were left without the service.”
