A woman with a history of benefit fraud illegally claimed money from the state purse again while she had two jobs, a court has been told.

Louise Sedoskie worked at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Home Bargains while taking Jobseekers Allowance and housing benefit at the same time.

Sedoskie, 42, of Clarendon Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to three offences of dishonestly failing to notify a change in her circumstances. She had a previous conviction in 2010 for failing to notify a change in her circumstances, for which she was given a suspended prison sentence, the court was told.

Sedoskie had her case adjourned for pre-sentence reports, with all options, including custody, to be considered by Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said between June 2012 and December 2013 the defendant illegally claimed £1,948. When interviewed, Sedoskie admitted being dishonest.

She said during the interview she had debts which were piling up.

Ashley Fisher, defending, said his client lost her home when it was ordered to be sold to pay back benefits money she had illegally claimed previously.

As her circumstances changed she got into financial difficulty, Mr Fisher added. She will re-appear at a later date.
