A woman threatened to stab some men in a Blackpool street with a knife.

Stephanie Crossley’s behaviour upset children in the street who were terrified and crying.

Crossley, 26, of Fenton Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour and possessing a blade in public.

She was bailed to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court on May 13 by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Crossley was seen in Southbank Avenue with a kitchen knife on the evening of March 23, shouting: “I’m going to stab you.” Some men disarmed her and wrestled her to the floor.

Jessica Partington, defending, told the court that Crossley said she had the knife because two men had set upon her boyfriend and she had the weapon to protect him.
