A FATHER-of-two rowed with his partner in the street after she said she could not walk any further because of her high heels.

Anthony Marsden admitted threatening behaviour when he appeared before Blackpool Magistrates.

Marsden, 30, of Worcester Road, Blackpool, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £65 in costs by magistrates yesterday.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said an off-duty police officer watched as Marsden swore at his partner and then kicked out at a car.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said the couple had been together 10 years and had moved from Burnley to Blackpool to bring up their children in better surroundings.

He said: “They were on a rare night out together and she was wearing very high heels and could not walk any further so he gave her some abuse.”
