A mother reversed into the front of a police vehicle.

Tracie Kendall had to be restrained at the police station and refused to provide a specimen of breath.

Kendall, 28, of Brun Grove, Marton, pleaded guilty to the offence and driving without insurance or in accordance with her licence.

She was disqualified from driving for 40 months, fined £375 with £85 costs and ordered to pay a £150 court charge plus £38 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said police saw Kendall driving a Mini Cooper without lights on Central Drive, Blackpool, on October 5 at 10.45pm.

Kendall stopped in the middle of the road before reversing then accelerating hard into the front of their vehicle.

At the police station she refused to give a breath specimen and said: “I’m psychotic.”
