Woman remanded over alleged machete incident

An alleged street affray in which it is claimed a cross-bow and machete were used has been described to a magistrates’ court.

Making her first appearance before Blackpool Magistrates was mother of one Charlotte Butler. The 26-year-old is charged with causing an affray and two offences of possessing offensive weapons.

Butler of Nethway, Layton, was arrested following a series of alleged incidents in the street where she lives, the court was told.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, asked for the cases against Butler to be heard at Preston Crown Court.

Magistrates remanded Butler in custody.

She is next due to appear at the higher court on 
October 15.
