Woman remanded as court hears taxi driver was stabbed 12 TIMES

A 23-year-old woman accused of stabbing a taxi driver 12 times has made her first appearance at court.

Catherine Clark, of Osborne Road, South Shore, Blackpool, is alleged to have carried out the attack on the Premier Cabs driver in Caroline Street,Blackpool, on Monday night. Blackpool Magistrates were told that the taxi driver had asked for a fare and Clark then attacked the driver with a knife and is said to have stolen his cash float.

Clark was remanded in custody by Blackpool Magistrates and said the cases against her – robbery and possessing the knife – would have to be dealt with at Preston Crown Court where she will appear on August 10.

There was no bail application by her lawyer Brett Chappell.
