A woman was found lying on the ground outside Blackpool Football Club’s stadium by police.

Sarah Boyle then got up and began running in front of cars travelling along Seasiders Way.

Boyle, 26, pleaded guilty to breach of the peace.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said police saw Boyle lying on the ground with half a bottle of vodka nearby, on June 4 at 4.50pm.

After she ran into the road Boyle was led to safety.

She had only been discharged from a hospital’s mental health unit two days before.

Boyle told magistrates: “I have a drink problem.”

Boyle was bound over in the sum of £60 for six months by Blackpool magistrates.
