A WOMAN stole a replica gun and blank ammunition from retired neighbours she was friendly with.

Kelly Butterfield said she would go shopping for the couple but then threw £625 of their property out of their flat window and later exchanged it for drugs or cash.

Butterfield, 24, formerly of Boundary Court, Grange Park, now living in Copeland Road, Glasgow, admitted theft at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said Butterfield said she would do some shopping for a retired couple who were neighbours at flats in Boundary Court on November 6.

While in their flat Butterfield took a replica gun, blank ammunition, two gold rings, two games playing machines and a computer modem. She threw them out of the window and retrieved them later.

Peter Cave, defending, said his client, who had now weaned herself off amphetamines and cocaine, gave herself up to police.
