A TEENAGER cut a woman’s face when she threw a wine glass in pub.

Lindsay Harding admitted assaulting the woman in the Gardeners Arms on Fleetwood Road, Cleveleys, when she appeared before Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Harding was placed on a 12 month Community Order and instructed to do unpaid work for the community by the bench in court.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said the victim had been drinking with her husband at the bar of the pub when she felt something hit her cheek and then realised she had been cut.

A witness told her she had been hit by a glass.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said it was a retribution attack.

He added: “The defendant is shocked and ashamed to be in court.

“She believed she had been pushed in the back by the other woman.”

Together with the Community Order, Harding was also told to pay her victim £50 compensation.
