Police are appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old woman lost three front teeth after being punched while dancing in a Blackpool nightclub.

The assault took place around 3.30am on Friday, November 8 when the woman was dancing on the stage area of the main dance floor at Flamingos nightclub.

She was approached by a man who, after an exchange of words, is said to have punched her in the mouth, causing the injuries.

Door staff offered first aid to the woman before she was taken by taxi to hospital.

Det Cons Neil Smith, from Blackpool CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a local woman who was enjoying an evening out with friends. The assault has understandably had an effect on both the physical as well as psychological welfare of this young woman.
