Prosecutor, Pam Smith, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyer, Peter Cave, asked for bail for his client.

Shawcross was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on January 2 by District Judge Huw Edwards sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

She must not enter Warton and must live at her parents’ address in Kent Avenue, Litherland, Liverpool, as conditions of her bail.
