A woman accused of breaking her boyfriend’s toe by hitting it with a wooden mallet has made her first appearance at court.

Julie Hall, 49, of Westminster Road, North Shore, is charged with maliciously wounding her partner causing him grievous bodily harm.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, asked for the case to go to crown court. Hall was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on June 26 by Blackpool magistrates.

She must live at an address on Preston Street, Fleetwood, not contact the complainant or enter Blackpool and report to police every weekday as conditions of her bail.
