A teacher accused of hitting a policeman in the chest after a fracas at a Blackpool library has made her first appearance at court.

Lynne Charoenkitsuksun, 49, of Livingston Road, Blackpool, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a police officer with intent to resist arrest.

She also denied assaulting a a security guard at the library, in Queen Street, on June 6 and asked for trial at crown court.

The offences are said to have taken place at Blackpool on June 6.

Charoenkitsuksun was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on October 1 by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

She must not enter Lancashire County Council’s library on Queen Street as a condition of her bail.
