Woman, 23, in court over taxi robbery
A woman is due to appear in court today after taxi driver was stabbed in the arm in an alleged robbery.
The incident happened in Caroline Street, Blackpool at midnight on Monday.
The alleged offender is said to have climbed into the back of a Premier cab before demanding the driver hand over his takings.
The driver was able to send an alert to colleagues and a woman was detained at the scene by other taxi firm employees until the police arrived.
The cab driver was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with puncture wounds to his arm.
His condition is understood not to be serious.
A 23-year-old woman from Blackpool was been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
She was charged on Monday evening and will appear before Blackpool magistrates today.
