Bianca White, 23, of Glen Eldon Road, St Annes, admitted failing to answer bail.

Sandra Ardern, prosecuting, said White had failed to turn up at court on May 9 for a trial while she was on bail.

Steven Townley, defending, said White had been accused of taking money from a man’s pocket during a party, an offence she strongly denied.

White was present at the first trial date, but the complainant did not turn up so the date was rearranged.

White had a job as a hairdresser in Cyprus fixed up which she would lose if she did not go.

She travelled to Cyprus then found she did not have the money at the time to get back for the second trial date.

At that trial she was acquitted and completely cleared of any wrongdoing.

However, because she was on bail at that time, she breached her bail by not attending.

Mr Townley added: “She arrived back at Manchester Airport as she came to visit her family for Christmas and was arrested.

“She was kept in custody overnight and then brought here.”

White was fined £30 and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
