Underage teen tattooing lands Blackpool duo in court

A brother and sister have been ordered to do unpaid work for the community after they admitted allowing someone under the age of 18 to get a tattoo.

Monika Mrozowska, 43, of Kenilworth Gardens, South Shore and brother Tomasz Ceglowski, 31, of Withnell Road both Blackpool will have to do 40 hours work each after they appeared at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Both admitted the under age tattoo offence in which a 16 -year-old was involved and they also admitted having unhygienic premised at Jaguar Tattoo on Dickson Road, central Blackpool.

Victoria Cartmell, prosecuting for Blackpool Council, said the local authority had received information that children were being tattooed on the premises.

The duo thought that if they had parental permission it was alright to go ahead but what they did still breached the law.

An inspection of the premises revealed that customer’s health was being at risk.

The prosecutor told the court the premises had since undergone remedial work of a high standard.
