Two Lancashire businessmen have made their first court appearances charged with trademark offences involving thouands of pairs of trainers.

Andrew Bradshaw, 42, of Park Mews, Gisburn and partner Andrew Rourke, 44, of Lawrence Avenue, Blackpool, each face six offences of selling trainers falsely branded as Adidas.

They are alleged to have sold £3,808 of trainers through Gibsons Sports shop on Church Street, Blackpool and via the Internet.

Rourke is further charged with a proceeds of crime offence involving the alleged movement of £115,000 between different bank accounts in an effort to conceal it.

Blackpool Magistrates said the cases must be heard at Preston Crown Court. Both men were bailed until January 23.
