Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car collided into a wall in Marton, say police.

Police were called just after 3pm on Monday, May 28 following reports that a car had crashed into a garden wall on Hawe Side Lane.

Officers say that a Vauxhall Astra had crashed and that the occupants of the car allegedly made-off from the scene.

A spokesman for the police said: "We were called after a car collided with a wall.

"Two people made off from the scene and two men were arrested a short time later."

Fire crews were called to the accident where they made the car safe.

Crews say that nobody was at the scene when they arrived.

A 35-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, both from Blackpool, have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

The pair remain in police custody.
