Transgender woman beaten on doorstep of her Blackpool home

Holly Fields, 56, was battered by four men in a vicious attack at her Park Road home on Friday night.

She said: “I was shouting ‘please just leave me alone’. I thought I was going to die.”

Miss Fields was alone in her flat when she heard a knock on the door and was confronted by a woman and four men.

The men repeatedly punched her in her chest and stomach, leaving her with four cracked ribs and bruising to her body.

After assaulting Miss Fields, the unknown men left the property, and she called the police and ambulance services at around 7.10pm.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Miss Fields says she was subjected to homophobic and transphobic abuse during the assault.

She said: “It makes me feel scared and worthless. I don’t want to go outside. I’m anxious and frightened.

“I haven’t been eating properly or sleeping properly.

“I have heart problems and this stress is affecting me badly.”

The four men are described as white British and aged between 30 and 40-years-old, with dark brown hair.

Two of the men are described as being of a slim build and around 6ft tall.

One was wearing a dark blue shirt and the other was wearing a light blue T-shirt and jeans.

The third attacker is described as being of medium build, and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and white trainers.

The fourth man is described as being of a large build and around 5ft 6ins tall, and was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.

Miss Fields, who moved to Blackpool from London just last month, said: “I didn’t get a good look at them because I was being attacked.”

She added that she wanted to appeal for anyone who may be able to identify the men to come forward.

She said: “Someone has to know who these men are.

“I want to put an appeal out to stop this happening again to somebody else.

“I’m not going to feel safe until they are caught.”

Police community cohesion and hate crime officer Ian Ashton confirmed that he had spoken with Miss Fields about the incident.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to Park Road at around 7.10pm on March 10.

“A woman had been assaulted.

“She had opened the door to four men and was punched by them several times.

“We have not identified any suspects at this stage and no arrests have been made.”
