A man nicknamed “The Blight of Blackpool” because of his bad behaviour has been allowed access to a small part of the town centre.

Glenn Stacey, 54, of Victory Road, Blackpool, appeared at court via a video link from Preston Prison, where he is serving a six-week jail sentence for breaching a Criminal Anti Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) for the fifth time.

Stacey (pictured) who once threatened to shoot a shop manager after stealing from his store, was put on the three-year CRASBO in February.

The court order bans him from most of Blackpool town centre

Defence lawyer Michael Woosnam applied for the terms of Stacey’s CRASBO to be varied to allow him to go into the Job Centre.

Blackpool magistrates agreed to change the order to allow Stacey access to the Job Centre from the north side of Queen Street.
