A drunken woman caused an incident at a medical centre by demanding dental treatment.

Lindsay Taylor was abusive to a receptionist at the Whitegate Drive Medical Centre and ended up struggling with police in the car park.

Taylor, 31, of Branstree Road, Mereside, admitted being drunk and disorderly.

The court heard how, on November 26 at 5.50pm, Taylor was rude to the receptionist who told her she would need an appointment.

In the car park she told police officers to “Naff off”.

When an officer tried to take an open can of lager from her she squeezed the contents over both of them.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said Taylor had been under the influence of alcohol and suffering bad toothache.

Taylor was sentenced to an electronically tagged curfew for three months between 8pm and 6am by Blackpool magistrates.
