A full inquest into the death of a toddler in a St Annes hotel swimming pool, due to be heard this week, will now be heard in October.
Blackpool Coroners Court had been due to sit this week, starting yesterday, to hear details surrounding the death of three-year-old Jane Bell, from Galashiels in Scotland.
The child died after being found unresponsive in the pool of The Dalmeny Hotel in August last year.
An earlier hearing had planned for a final inquest to hear all evidence and return a verdict by now.
However, health and safety investigations by Fylde Council are still ongoing.
Environmental health officers were seeking independent expert advice onwhether a prosecution will be brought in relation to health and safety.
A review into the case is set to be held on July 28 with a date set for a full inquest from October 5 this year.
Following the incident a murder investigation was launched by police and a 40-year-old woman, also from Galashiels, was arrested on suspicion of murder and neglect, but no charges were brought and the police investigation was dropped.
