A man upset about his brother being sentenced to five years imprisonment who was so drunk he fell out of a car into a police officer’s arms has escaped being sent to jail.

Terrence Tomney, 27, of Central Drive, Blackpool, admitted failing to provide a breath specimen for alcohol testing and driving while disqualified without insurance.

He was sentenced to 16 weeks’ prison suspended for two years, put on two years supervision, ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work in the community and banned from the road for three years.
