Three teen suspects 'released under investigation' after New Year's Eve stabbing in North Shore

Three teens who were arrested after a Blackpool man was stabbed in North Shore on New Year's Eve have been released by police.

Two 16 year-old boys and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of wounding after a Blackpool man was stabbed at an address on Warbreck Drive, North Shore on New Year's Eve.

A 20-year-old man remains in Blackpool Victoria Hospital with stab wounds in a "stable condition."

The teens have since been released under investigation by police.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at about 10.50pm on December 31 to a report of a stabbing at an address on Warbreck Drive in Blackpool.

"Officers attended and a 20-year-old man from Blackpool was taken to hospital with a number of stab wounds. His injuries are not life threatening.

"Three males aged 16, 16 and 18 from Blackpool have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and have been released under investigation.

"Enquiries are ongoing.
