THIEVES have stolen thousands of pounds of electrical goods after breaking into a warehouse.
The burglars escaped from electrical distributor Harry B Litherland, on Cornford Road, Marton, with dozens of TV sets in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police believe the raiders approached the warehouse from an adjoining school field and managed to remove the sheet metal sides to gain access, stealing £20,000 of goods including 78 television sets and 11 DVR hard disk drives.
The incident happened sometime between 1am and 3.50am, and PC Stuart Fitzpatrick, from Blackpool Police, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information about this incident to come forward and contact the police.
“Given the large amount of items stolen there must have been more than one offender and they must have had a vehicle.
“If anyone recalls a vehicle, probably a van, in the Cornford Road area in the early hours of Friday morning then I would ask them to get in touch.”
Anyone with information can contact Blackpool Police directly on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
