Damion Goldrick, 36, drunk and disorderly
A man squeezed a police officer’s arm and refused to let go before insulting him.
Damion Goldrick, 36, who gave a care of address of a Powell Avenue, Marton, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and breaching a community order.

Hide AdHe had an extra seven hours unpaid work for the community added to an order he was already on, was fined £40 and ordered to pay £32 victims’ surcharge.
Prosecutor, Andrew Robinson, said on February 5 at 10pm police received a report of a man in Dickson Road spitting and shouting at people in the street.
They saw Goldrick who stood up and grabbed hold of an officer’s arm and squeezed it.
Cheryl Crawford, prosecuting for the probation service, said Goldrick had been sentenced to a 12 months community order with 50 hours unpaid work for the community for a driving offence.

Hide AdHe had been sent two induction appointments by post in February but failed to attend.
Goldrick said he had no recollection of what happened when he was drunk but he apologised for his behaviour.
He added that he had no fixed address and used his mother’s address for post, but he had not received the letter about an induction appointment.
Scott Burdfield, 21, aggravated vehicle taking,driving without licence or insurance

Hide AdA car thief took a car belonging nurse because he was bored and then crashed it into a bench.
Scott Burdfield was described by the nurse as finding it funny when she challenged him about taking her vehicle causing £600 of damage to it.
Burdfield, a pub worker, 21, of Westmorland Avenue, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to the aggravated taking of a car and driving it without a licence or insurance.
He was sentenced to a 12 months community order with 120 hours unpaid work for the community, banned from the road for 12 months and ordered to pay £300 compensation with £85 costs plus £90 victims’ surcharge.

Hide AdProsecutor, Andrew Robinson, said Burdfield was at a friend’s house where he met the nurse for the first time, on January 29.
During the early hours Burdfield took the car, went for a drive in it and parked up without the nurse’s knowledge.
She later went to go home, saw her car was damaged and confronted the defendant.
Steven Townley, defending, told magistrates:”This was committed on the spur of the moment and it was out of character.
“He said he did it out of boredom.”

Hide AdIn a report to the court, probation officer Lesley Whittaker, told magistrates that Burdfield had shown remorse and said his behaviour had been foolish.
Ms Whittaker added that he said he had laughed out of nerves when confronted by the nurse.
Caron Hodgkinson, 40,drink-driving
A single mother was more than twice over the alcohol limit after drinking at a British Legion club.
Caron Hodgkinson, 40, of Elm Avenue, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.

Prosecutor, Andrew Robinson, said Hodgkinson aroused police interest, on January 25 at about 2 am, as officers believed she was driving her Nissan Juke at speed.
She pulled up opposite her home and a breath test showed 87 microgrammes of alcohol in her body – 35 is the limit.
Hodgkinson’s defence lawyer said she had not intended to drink the night of the offence but when she went to the British Legion club to pick up her boyfriend she drank some lager and blackcurrant.

Hide AdThe driving ban would cause Hodgkinson hardship as she was the sole carer for her son who had cerebral palsy. He had a number of hospital appointments per month and she would have to reply on public transport.
John Murphy, 49, criminal damage
A man damaged a bathroom mirror and light fittings with pliers after losing his temper over missing cash. John Murphy, 49, of Rossall Road, Cleveleys, pleaded guilty to causing damage.
He was given a 12 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation with £85 costs plus £32 victims’ surcharge.
Prosecutor, Andrew Robinson, said Murphy believed a man he had known for a week had taken some money from his flat. On November 16 Murphy went into the man’s flat and damaged items with a pair of pliers. Peter Manning, defending, said his client said £70 had gone missing from his flat.
