A teenage learner driver took his friend’s BMW and crashed it into two cars at Fleetwood.

Samuel Allen hit a woman driver’s car and also smashed into a parked vehicle on Whinfield Avenue on November 29 at 9.30am.

He had taken his friend’s car and crashed.

Allen, an 18-year-old trainee scaffolder, of Deepdale Road, Fleetwood, pleaded guilty to the aggravated taking of a car, failing to stop after an accident and driving not in accordance with his licence without insurance.

He was sentenced to a 12-month community order with up to 10 days’ rehabilitation to be supervised by the Probation Service, ordered to do 200 hours’ unpaid work for the community, banned from the road for 12 months and told to pay £300 compensation with £85 costs plus £60 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
