Police said the driver of the uninsured Fiat had also been drunk and had an expired driving licence.

The car has been seized by police.

A spokesman for Lancashire Road Police said: "The occupants of this car spent a lazy Sunday committing theft offences and then trying to sell said stolen items.

"Unfortunately, the car was uninsured, the driver was drunk and had an expired driving licence.
