Police searched a property in Central Blackpool under the Misuse of Drugs Act this morning (July 2) following complaints from members of the community.

Footage from the scene shows officers in riot gear bashing down the front door to gain entry to the property - which has been described as "completely uninhabitable" by police.

A woman was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs during the raid.

Despite a number of men inside the property providing false names, police also discovered two of the men were wanted on arrest warrants after some "successful sleuthing".

A spokesman for Blackpool Police said: "After community concerns today Blackpool Police Task Force have conducted a drugs warrant on an address in Central Blackpool with Blackpool South NHP.

"Despite a reinforced door we have gained entry and arrested a female for possession with intent to supply drugs.

"There were a number of other males in the house who tried to pull the wool over officers eyes by giving false names, but after some successful sleuthing we have discovered that two were wanted by the courts."

Officers will also be working with Blackpool Council to issue a closure order for the property due to the condition of its interior.
