Officers have been patrolling the streets alongside housing and addiction outreach workers, Blackpool Council staff and BID wardens.

They have been offering help and support to those willing to accept it. Community protection orders and warnings have also been issued to those who consistently cause issues.

On Wednesday the team were joined by mounted officers from Lancashire Constabulary. Officers issued two community protection notices and conducted two drugs searches.

A spokesman said: “A further three individuals are now willing to engage and accept help from services, where previously they have been resistant to accept help offered to them.

“Two individuals have ignored repeated warnings and notices in relation to their behaviour and they are now being progressed to court with a view to applying for criminal behaviour orders.”
