Street robber hunted after stealing '˜loose change and bank card' from '˜extremely shaken' victim

A man was left '˜extremely shaken and upset' after being robbed in the street, police said.

The 48-year-old was ordered to empty his pockets after being approached in Ibbison Court, Blackpool, at around 10.20pm on Tuesday, August 15.

The thief fled with loose change and a bank card, a spokesman said in a statement.

Officers this afternoon released an image, taken from a shop’s CCTV footage, of a man they want to speak to.

Det Con Paul Whyatt, from Blackpool CID, said: “The victim has been left extremely shaken and upset by his ordeal and we want to find the offender as soon as possible.

“Following extensive enquiries we would like to speak to this man.”

The suspect was described as white, 6ft2ins tall, in his 30s, and of a large build.

He had shoulder-length dark hair and a beard. He was believed to be wearing a satchel-type bag over his shoulder.
