A MAN accused of sex attacks on a 13-year-old girl has made his first appearance in court.

Matthew Clifton, 20, of Collins Avenue, Bispham,
denied two offences of sexually touching the teenager.

He also pleaded not guilty to causing her to look at a picture of a person engaged in a sexual act.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between October 1 and November 30 last year at Blackpool.

Prosecutor Martine Connah’s application for the trial to take place at crown court was not opposed by defence lawyer Kathryn Jamieson-Sinclair.

Clifton was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 18 by Blackpool magistrates.

He must not interfere or communicate with any child under 16 as a condition of his bail.
