Search launched after man, 73, goes missing from care home

A major search was carried out by police, the Coastguard, and Bowland Pennine mountain rescue team after a 73-year-old man went missing from a St Annes care home.

Officers were called at 10.45pm yesterday after it was realised the pensioner – last seen at around 6.30pm – was missing.

He was found well in Lytham Road, South Shore, at around 2am today.
