Pregnant woman in spanner attack case

A pregnant woman has made her first appearance at court accused of hitting her boyfriend over the head with a spanner causing a deep gash in his skull.

Nicola Adcock, 24, of Arthur Street, Fleetwood, is charged with maliciously wounding with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

The offence is alleged to have taken place on January 13 at the home the couple shared.

Adcock was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on January 30 by District Judge Edward Barr sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
