BLACKPOOL FC has banned two fans and admitted they made errors of judgement over ticket sales for the play-off final.
The club has apologised to supporters “who will remember their 2012 Wembley trip for all the wrong reasons” after a large number of Blackpool tickets were sold second hand to West Ham United fans.
Many families paid hundreds of pounds to visit London for the game, which Blackpool lost 2-1, only to sit amongst rival supporters, be spat on and have fluid thrown at them.
Club officials are now taking action to review and update their sales policies.
