Officers from Greater Manchester have issued an appeal to help track down Darren Teasdale.

Teasdale, 33, of Albert Road, Levenshulme is wanted for breach of the terms of his licence.

He had been released from prison where he served seven years for rape.

As well as Blackpool, Teasdale has links to other areas of Lancashire as well as Greater Manchester and North Yorkshire.

Officers are hoping the public in those areas may hold the key to returning him to jail.

At the same time they have warned the public against
approaching Teasdale
themselves, making it clear the best course of action is to alert police.

Detective Constable Chris Shaw of Greater Manchester Police said: “We are appealing for the public’s help to trace this man.

“If you see him, please do not approach him, contact the police.”

Teasdale had previously lived at an address in South Shore.

He was jailed indefinitely in 2009 and failed in a 2010 appeal to reduce his sentence.

Anyone with information about Teasdale’s whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
