McIntyre, 40, was released from prison on licence to an address in Leeds, but she has since breached the terms of that licence.

Because of the breach, she has been recalled to prison.

She is known to have connections to the Wyre and Blackpool areas, though her current whereabouts are unknown.

McIntyre is originally from Mainway in Lancaster.

She is described as being white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, with brown eyes and short brown hair.

Det Insp Bev Foster said: “We would ask the public, particularly in the relevant areas, to be vigilant and to report any sightings to the police – any details could be crucial.”

Anyone who recognises McInyre, or knows where she is, is asked to call police on 101.
