Thieves assured an elderly man they would pay for the motorcycles he was looking to sell - but instead took them without paying.
The four men visted an address on Shard Lane, Hambleton, posing as potential customers looking to buy a vintage bike from the 83-year-old man.
Police have said the group agreed to buy a motorcycle, a traditional butcher’s bike which had VMCC written on the frame and a chicken pen, all for £1,675.
But when they loaded the property into their van they drove off without paying the victim.
Police are now appealing for information on the incident which happened at around 1pm on Wednesday, May 20.
PC Victoria Reed of Blackpool Police said: “This theft has left the victim extremely shocked and upset and I would appeal to anyone with any information to contact us.”
