Police hunt for church theft man

The burglary took place at around 12.15pm on November 10 when a man has entered Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on St Annes Road East and stole the cash from the morning collection.

He then escaped through a side door on to St Annes Road East.

The man is described as being aged in his early 40s, medium build with black receding hair. He was wearing a beige jacket with a dark collar and lining, blue jeans and glasses.

PC Paul Gill, of Lancashire Police, said: “This is a despicable offence and I would urge anyone who has any information about the identity of the man in the CCTV image to contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting crime reference AL1302708.”
